Paradise

Mt. Rainier is THE icon of the Pacific Northwest. It's always present, towering over the region like the giant volcano it is.

Even so, on cloudy days it is not visible. On such a day we ventured near the mountain and were met with all her beauty and sadness as Joe & Corinne sought their portraits in the shadow of greatness. The Pacific Northwest let open the floodgates without admonishment, increasingly raining each minute that passed. The mountain is beautiful but uncompromising, one does not approach it on ones own terms, but awes at it in it's full splendor. This is evident with approaches such as "Paradise" where we drove up.
